The Auto Club circuit has been removed from next year’s NASCAR schedule, and due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, another race weekend has been postponed by one week.

NASCAR was originally scheduled to race in Fontana on February 28, but the team will now stay in Daytona Beach for the second race weekend. Officials announced on Tuesday that after the Daytona 500, which kicked off the season on February 14th, all three national series will be raced on the Daytona Road Circuit from February 19th to 21st.

The Daytona Road Race will replace the Xfinity and Cup Series in Southern California, and the Camping World Truck Series will be played in a transfer from Homestead-Miami Speedway at the Daytona Road Race.

Homestead, which was originally scheduled to be the second race weekend of this year, has been postponed to the third race of the season. When NASCAR does arrive in Miami from February 27 to 28, there will only be Xfinity and Cup Series teams.

"Daytona International Speedway is known for its iconic moments. Last year's historic first NASCAR road race was very exciting and added a lot to the heritage of the World Racing Center," said Chipper, President of Daytona Speedway. Will said. "It's great to see our three winners move on and raise the championship trophy in Phoenix. We are very happy that all three series are back."

After the Homestead event, NASCAR will travel to Las Vegas from March 5th to 7th as originally planned.

"First of all, the health, safety and well-being of our fans, competitors, stakeholders and track personnel remains our top priority," said Dave Allen, President of Motor Club Track. "The decision to re-adjust the 2021 race weekend is an extremely difficult decision. We will miss seeing the greatest fans of motorsport on the track next season and hearing the roar of Southern California's NASCAR engine.

"However, during the Daytona Road Race event and throughout the 2021 season, our colleagues across the industry will receive our full support, and we look forward to welcoming the NASCAR race back to the Auto Club circuit in 2022."

Due to the reorganization of the game in 2021, the proposal to convert the Auto Club Speedway into a short track has been postponed for one year. Hope to have the final race on the two-mile oval track in 2022.
